Powered by a choice of rather economical 4-cylinder engines, the front-wheel-drive Sonata rides smoothly and offers predictable handling. Engine choices include the base 2.4-liter with 185 hp, the stronger 2.0-liter turbo with 245 hp, a frugal 1.6-liter turbo with 177 hp on ECO models and the hybrid powertrain, which mates the 2.4-liter to an electric motor for 199 hp.
