The BMW X5 is an athletically styled luxury SUV with seating for up to seven. Powered by a wide range of powerful gas and diesel engines sending at least 255 and up to 445 hp to either the rear or all wheels through an 8-speed automatic, the X5 handles and rides at the top of its class on-road, but is not intended for serious off-road use. Its well-built cabin is safe and available with an abundancy of luxury options. It hosts five in perfect comfort, but is a rather tight for seven, if equipped with the optional third row seat.
