The BMW X5 is an athletically styled luxury SUV with seating for up to seven. Powered by a wide range of powerful gas and diesel engines sending at least 265 and up to 555 hp to either the rear or all wheels, the X5 handles and rides at the top of its class on-road, but is not intended for serious off-road use. Its well-built cabin is safe and available with an abundancy of luxury options. It hosts five in perfect comfort, but is a rather tight for seven, if equipped with the optional third row seat.

Changes for 2012

The BMW X5 receives more standard equipment, including BMW Assist, an iPod/USB Adapter and a premium sound system for 2012.
